Getting to Tahoe
Truckee can be traveled to from 3 major airports in California & Nevada:
RNO in Reno, NV, is the closest major airport. From RNO: You can rent a car and drive the 40 minutes west on I-80, or take the Tahoe Green Line, operated by North Lake Tahoe Express, which provides an airport shuttle service from RNO to the Truckee Train Depot twice daily.
SAC in Sacramento is about 2 hours West of Truckee. From SAC: You can drive 2 hours east on I-80 or take Amtrak’s California Zephyr from the Sacramento Valley Station to the Truckee Train Depot (about 3.5 hours).
SFO in San Francisco is about a 3.5-4 hours drive West of Truckee.
Where to Stay
Hampton Inn & Suites Tahoe-Truckee
We will be arranging pick up to and from here the day of the wedding. It is walking distance to Martis Valley trail system, and approximately 2 miles from downtown Truckee. Group rates are available.
NOTE: The Hampton Inn is currently undergoing a rebrand to “Martis Valley Lodge”, and booking is temporarily unavailable while their IT team switches systems. Springhill Suites Truckee
We will be arranging pick up to and from here the day of the wedding. It is approximately 1 mile from downtown Truckee. Group rates are available.
Ritz-Carlton
Located up in the mountains near Northstar ski resort, about 15 minutes by car to downtown Truckee.
Gravity Haus
This modern lodge is less than a mile from downtown Truckee, and adjacent to the Truckee regional trail bike path.
Tahoe Star Hotel
This historic, 19th century settler home has been converted into a small hotel in the in the heart of downtown Truckee.
Airbnbs
If you’re planning on booking an Airbnb, we recommend staying near downtown Truckee. Truckee is central to all that you’ll want to do in the Tahoe area. We’ll also have shuttles departing from the Springhill Suites & Hampton Inn to take guests up to Boca Estate on the day of our ceremony.
